How much money would I need to bring to England? read details?

Im goiing to london next week for vacation for 2 weeks and Im thinking of bringing 500 pounds. Im staying with my famiyl there and I would like to buy football related stuff like kits, boots and track suits. I would also like to buy a few casual pieces of clothing. Is 500 pounds enough? I also need money for the bus.

If you could, can you give me some sports stores that I could find in London and I could look them up online now. Thanks
